Automatic Groundwater Level and Temperature Monitoring Instrument


The WH311 groundwater level and temperature monitoring instrument, a color data acquisition, display, and recording instrument, uses a new type of large-scale integrated circuit and can accept input from more than 48 channels. It has RS232/485 communication interfaces, supports U-disk export of historical data, and can provide sensor power distribution. It has powerful display and recording functions, with selectable recording intervals from 1 second to 4 minutes, real-time curve display, historical curve recall, and bar graph display. The Wanhe WH311 automatic groundwater level monitoring instrument has been used in exploration sites such as the Xinjiang, Guizhou Geological Bureaus, Wuhan Seismological Bureau, and Southwest Engineering, directly solving the problem of the difficulty of groundwater level monitoring.

            Groundwater level and temperature measurement is particularly important for the mining industry, groundwater exploration, and hot spring water temperature and level monitoring industries. China is rich in groundwater resources, and in many areas, groundwater is the main source of water for human production and life. This requires strengthening the monitoring of deep wells to guide the rational use of water by humans. Real-time monitoring of changes in the dynamic water level of deep wells is also beneficial for earthquake monitoring, providing big data support for geological and seismological industry monitoring. The WH311 deep well water level meter is an ultra-low power consumption, IP68 high protection level, wired communication, and multi-sensor acquisition monitoring device. It is suitable for monitoring sites with harsh environments and can realize data acquisition, storage, alarm, and transmission for underground wells, fire safety, dam health, and water supply and drainage networks, etc., making it especially suitable for underground well applications.


    System Overview  
            The WH311 groundwater level meter relies on a deep well water level sensor probe and has the advantages of fast construction speed and real-time long-distance transmission. It integrates front-end detection and back-end real-time display to achieve groundwater level monitoring. It can monitor groundwater level and temperature data. Paired with a paperless recorder, it can record data in real time, generate various reports and curves, and provide data analysis and decision-making basis for customers. This system is an important means of understanding the changes in groundwater, understanding the status of groundwater extraction, and guiding groundwater resource protection.

    I. Specific Requirements

           Unit: Guizhou Provincial Geological Bureau 111 Geological Team

           Operating environment: Yuhongxia geothermal water extraction test, deep well depth 1000 meters, water temperature within 90℃.  
           Monitoring requirements: Real-time display of deep well water level during the water extraction test to provide a basis for calculating geothermal resource exploitation; automated monitoring to improve office efficiency and reduce manpower input;  
                        Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of the data;  
                        Ensure long-term operation at 1000 meters underwater and below 90℃.

     

    II. Measurement and Analysis

           Due to the special nature of deep well water level monitoring, non-contact methods such as radar level meters and ultrasonic level meters cannot effectively transmit signals, while magnetic float and bubble-type methods have depth limitations.  
           Now, the WH311 deep well probe uses a laser hydrostatic principle (laser calibration of zero point and full scale), which greatly simplifies the measurement process and reduces the cost of on-site data acquisition. The WH311 is easy to install. It only needs to be fixed 3-5 meters above the deep well pump when the pump is lowered into the well. It is suitable for deep well water level monitoring and solves the problem of deep well water level measurement difficulties. It meets user needs in the following ways:

    Waterproof Performance

    The WH311 probe features an all-welded, one-piece structure design, ensuring normal operation at 1000 meters underwater. Each unit undergoes a 20MPa waterproof test (equivalent to 2000 meters underwater).

    Steel Wire Cable

    Signal transmission uses a high-strength polyurethane steel wire cable (during deployment, pay attention to protecting the cable) to ensure real-time, high-precision, and stable output of temperature and liquid level measurement signals;

    Protecting the Deep Well Pump

    Real-time display of deep well water level and temperature, with high and low level alarm functions. It can be linked with the deep well pump to achieve the low-level pump stop function, preventing the deep well pump from burning out.

    Power Supply Options

    Two power supply requirements can be achieved: AC 220V power supply; DC 24V field portable battery;

     

           *Water extraction test monitoring equipment and transmission system requirements  
    Install one set of automatic groundwater monitoring equipment, which can measure and record water level, water temperature and other elements, and can automatically record data; the automatic recorder shell is made of stainless steel, with a simple structure and small size; the monitoring frequency is optional (1S-4 minutes), and the data storage capacity is no less than 200,000; data can be exported directly in table format.
