Groundwater level and temperature measurement is particularly important for the mining industry, groundwater exploration, and hot spring water temperature and level monitoring industries. China is rich in groundwater resources, and in many areas, groundwater is the main source of water for human production and life. This requires strengthening the monitoring of deep wells to guide the rational use of water by humans. Real-time monitoring of changes in the dynamic water level of deep wells is also beneficial for earthquake monitoring, providing big data support for geological and earthquake monitoring industries. The WH311 deep well water level measuring instrument is an ultra-low power consumption, IP68 high protection level, wired communication, and multi-sensor acquisition monitoring device. It is suitable for monitoring sites with harsh environments and can realize data acquisition, storage, alarm, and transmission of underground wells, fire safety, dam health, water supply and drainage networks, etc., especially suitable for underground well applications.
System Overview
The WH311 groundwater level measuring instrument relies on a deep well water level sensor probe and has the advantages of fast construction speed and real-time long-distance transmission. It integrates front-end detection and back-end real-time display to achieve groundwater level monitoring. It can monitor groundwater level and temperature data. With the supporting paperless recorder, it can record data in real time, generate various reports and curves, and provide data analysis and decision-making basis for customers. This system is an important means of understanding the changes in groundwater, understanding the groundwater exploitation status, and guiding groundwater resource protection.

Unit: Guizhou Provincial Geological Bureau 111 Geological Team
Operating environment: Yudongxia geothermal water extraction test, deep well depth 1000 meters, water temperature within 90℃.
Monitoring requirements: Real-time display of deep well water level during the water extraction test to provide a basis for calculating geothermal resource exploitation; automated monitoring to improve office efficiency and reduce labor input;
Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of the data;
Ensure long-term operation under 1000 meters of water and below 90℃.II. Measurement and Analysis
Due to the special nature of the measurement of deep well water level monitoring, non-contact methods such as radar level meters and ultrasonic level meters cannot effectively transmit signals, and magnetic float and bubble-type measurements have depth limitations.
Now, the WH311 deep well probe uses a laser static pressure principle (laser calibration of zero point and full scale), greatly simplifying the measurement process and reducing the cost of on-site data acquisition. The WH311 is easy to install; only the level probe needs to be fixed 3-5 meters above the deep well pump when the pump is lowered into the well. It is suitable for deep well water level measurement and monitoring, solving the problem of difficult deep well water level measurement, and meets the following user needs:1

Waterproof Performance
The WH311 probe adopts a fully welded integral structure design, ensuring normal operation under 1000 meters of water. Each unit will undergo a 20MPa waterproof test (equivalent to 2000 meters underwater waterproof);

Steel Wire Cable
Signal transmission uses high-strength polyurethane steel wire cable (during the laying process, pay attention to protecting the cable) to ensure real-time, high-precision, and stable output of temperature and liquid level measurement signals;

Protecting the Deep Well Pump
Real-time display of deep well water level and temperature, and with high and low liquid level alarm functions, it can be linked with the deep well pump to achieve the low-level pump stop function, preventing the deep well pump from burning out.

Two power supply requirements can be achieved: AC 220V power supply; DC 24V field portable battery;

Install one set of automatic groundwater monitoring equipment, capable of measuring and recording water level, water temperature, and other elements, and automatically recording data; the automatic recorder housing is made of stainless steel, with a simple structure and small size; the monitoring frequency is optional (1S-4 minutes), and the data storage capacity is no less than 200,000 entries; data can be directly exported in tabular format.III. IV. Wiring Instructions
1. The liquid level and temperature probe WH6 displays the real-time liquid level on the top and the real-time temperature on the bottom.
2. It has a recording function to record the data. The random U disk can export the data to generate a table at any time.
